Megan Bazz

Clinical Intern, University of Nebraska Omaha

I am deeply honored to support individuals navigating the perinatal period as an intern therapist, supervised by Margo Botkin, LIMHP, LPC, PMH-C. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University, and am currently completing my clinical internship through University of Nebraska Omaha as part of my training towards Clinical Licensure.

As both a clinician and a mother, I recognize how transformative, and often isolating pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood can be. Alongside moments of joy, there may be grief, anxiety, depression, identity shifts, relationship challenges, and countless other emotions that may feel different than you expected, and difficult to make sense of.

My goal is to offer you a space where you can show up authentically and be witnessed and supported as you navigate your experience.

I bring warmth and advocacy to our therapeutic space, integrating tools from evidence-based practices including Strengths Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

My clinical work is informed by an understanding of the broader systemic factors that shape each person's experience, recognizing that mental health and well-being do not exist in isolation from the communities and systems in which we live.

Prior to pursuing clinical licensure, I worked in case management with pregnant and postpartum individuals experiencing homelessness and trained as a birth doula. I am passionate about ensuring that all mothers have equitable access to the care and resources they need to birth and raise their children, and I have a particular interest in supporting individuals in processing and integrating their birth experiences.
