I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) offering both in-person and telehealth counseling services to clients in Nebraska. My focus is on supporting women navigating perinatal mental health challenges, including grief from perinatal loss, emotional stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Additionally, I specialize in working with those undergoing IVF treatments, as well as individuals managing the complexities of the postpartum period. I am deeply passionate about helping women process and heal in these experiences. I am certified as a perinatal mental health professional.

I am a nurse practitioner with dual certifications in family practice as well as psychiatric mental health care. I received my doctorate degree from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, and family nurse practitioner degree from the University of Mary, Bismarck, North Dakota. I have experience in all areas of psychiatric care including inpatient/acute care, outpatient care, integrated care, inpatient psychiatric consultations, and telemedicine. I am licensed in Nebraska and Minnesota. I see patients via HIPAA secure telemedicine.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in reproductive mental health, health psychology, and major life changes. I have advanced training in supporting individuals with concerns such as infertility, mental health during pregnancy and postpartum, adjustment to parenthood, gynecologic chronic illness and cancer, loss and grief, PMDD, involuntary childlessness, or choosing to be childfree.

I specialize in helping young females and women navigate life transitions, manage anxiety and depression, heal from unresolved trauma, improve relationships, work through parenting challenges and supporting perinatal mental health. I'm particularly passionate about helping emerging adults and women who are facing the unique challenges that come with life changes.  

Counselor, MS, LMHP, LIMHP

Rachel has been licensed as a mental health practitioner in the state of Nebraska since 2008. She began her career with Boys Town's Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility as a Clinical Therapist and as the Director of Behavioral Health Access.  Rachel pursued private practice in 2018 and specializes in maternal mental health; she has participated in advanced training and mentorship with Karen Kleiman at the PostPartum Stress Center since 2020. Rachel is a Co-Founder and Lead Trainer of the Holding Coalition, a national initiative to advance maternal mental health. Rachel lives in Omaha with her husband and three children.
